Wilson's daughter, Elizabeth Wilson-Goodlander inherited two of her father's ledgers, dated 1844-45 and 1851-52. The National Park Service acquired these ledgers in 1991. They show who the customers were and the commodities that they purchased. They also establish that Wilson was a banker, postmaster, and vendor of books, newspapers and magazines. The sutler stocked a wide variety of goods. The range of prices and quality of these goods reflected the diversity of clientele that the sutler served. The following are photos of those ledger pages and actual prices for items he carried.
