Field Trips

Field trips enhance classroom learning and broaden the student's experience. Educators can choose between self-guided or Ranger-led program options for their visit. Both options cover a variety of historical or scientific topics for discussion, learning, and fun!

Thanks for your interest in visiting Fort Pulaski with your group. To make a reservation, please e-mail us. A link to the group reservation form will be automatically sent. Please fill out the reservation form and submit. Once the reservation form is processed, a follow up confirmation email will be sent out confirming the details of your reservation.

If you do not receive an automatic reply from fopu_education@ nps.gov containing a link, please check your spam/junk folders. Confirmations can take up to seven business days to process.

Reservations are accepted on a first come first served basis. Please make your group reservation at least two weeks prior to your planned visit. We look forward to working with you!

    Outside of Fort Pulaski

    This is a teacher-led activity to be done on site at the fort. The teacher will lead a walk around the outside of the fort to show students dramatic battle damage from the Civil War battle, including projectiles that are still lodged in the brick walls. It also highlights the salt marsh ecology on Cockspur Island, and shows how human influence has repeatedly changed the island’s environment over time.
