However, you must stop in the Fort Matanzas Visitor Center (NOT the St. Augustine city Visitor Center) to get your free boarding pass for the ferry. Family members of all ages must have a pass to board the ferry. Passes are Free

2024 Fee-free Days

No entrance pass required on these days:

• Monday, January 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 20 — First Day of National Park Week
• Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth
• Sunday, August 4 — The Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 28 — National Public Lands Day
• Saturday, November 11 — Veterans Day

Information about the Interagency Lands Passes is located here and you may purchase or have them issued at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, approximately 14 miles north on A1A.
