Found in St. Thomas
This bottle was made by Illinois Pacific Glass Co. of San Francisco, California, and has a maker's mark consisting of "IPGCo" in a diamond. The vertical seams on the bottle indicate it was made with an Automatic Bottle Machine versus being hand blown.

The crown finish (neck) on this bottle implies that it once held liquor. The aqua color of the bottle is due to natural iron impurities in the sand that were used to make the glass.

The words "HALF DOLLAR" and "HALF SIZE" are stamped on the sides and "DR D JAYNE'S / EXPECTORANT / PHILADELPHIA" are stamped on the front.
This bottle was created using a cup-bottom mold. The mold had three pieces; two sides and a plate for the base of the bottle.

This bottle was manufactured with a cup-bottom mold and is stamped with the word, "JAYNE'S/VERMIFUCE/MADE IN U.S.A./DR. JAYNE AND SON/PHILADELPHIA."
