Boy Scout Programs

Scout groups interested in tours of the Eisenhower home or ranger guided programs at Eisenhower National Historic Site should click here to fill out our group reservation request form. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of your requested date. Group reservations are made outside of our public tour schedule, as our public tours cannot accommodate large groups.

Please note that we cannot guarantee a tour for every scout group on the date they request, as we have limited staff available. These programs are dependent on staff availability and our site's operating hours and seasons.

There is no fee to visit Eisenhower NHS or tour the Eisenhower home. Please note that larger groups may need to take a shuttle to the site from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center due to limited on-site parking. Shuttle tickets are available for a fee through the Gettysburg Foundation.

For more information on how to visit the Eisenhower National Historic Site, see our Plan Your Visit page here.

Boy Scout Trail Program

Scout groups are invited to participate in the Gettysburg Heritage Trail Program sponsored by the BSA New Birth of Freedom Council, Eisenhower National Historic Site, and Gettysburg National Military Park. The program includes two hiking trails through the Gettysburg Battlefield, a visit to Eisenhower National Historic Site and historic downtown Gettysburg, and a stop at the National Cemetery and Visitor Center. Patches are awarded for completion of each hike and tour.

Please note that a tour of the Eisenhower home is not required to complete the program, as tours cannot be guaranteed for every visiting group based on staff availability and timing.

The Gettysburg Heritage Trail Guide provides all the information required to complete the program. The Guide is available for purchase at the Gettysburg NMP Museum and Visitor Center Bookstore. To order patches and for further information visit the New Birth of Freedom Council website.
