Trail and Facility ConditionsConditions are subject to change due to weather.Roads, Trails, and Grounds ConditionsBoston StoreParking is for limited mobility only. For Towpath Trail access, park at Boston Trailhead or in the Boston Mill Visitor Center lot. Oak Hill RoadOak Hill Road from the northern corporate line of Cuyahoga Falls to the Everett Road connector is closed due to a failure of the embankment along Furnace Run. Posted detour routes are from Everett Road, to Riverview Road, to Ira Road. Dickerson Run TrailThis trail is closed until further notice. Brandywine Falls Safety AlertDo not climb Brandywine Falls or the fences and rocks in the area. Accidents in this area have led to serious injury and death. Please enjoy Brandywine Falls safely by staying at least 50 feet from the top and bottom of the falls. Virginia Kendall LedgesNo rock climbing is permitted. Please follow the rules to protect your self and the organisms that grow on the rocks. Ice Box CaveBat Population Threatened: Ice Box Cave, located at Ritchie Ledges, is closed in an effort to slow the spread of white-nose syndrome (WNS), a fungal disease that has killed millions of bats in the northeastern and eastern U.S. and threatens our bat population in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. WNS is spread by bat-to-bat transmission and by humans transporting fungal spores on their shoes, clothes, and other gear from contaminated sites. Help slow the spread of WNS and reduce disturbance to bats by staying out of the cave. Please report any unusual bat activity, such as bats flying outside during the day in cold winter months or bats clustering near the entrance to the cave. Contact Park Dispatch at 440-546-5945. Cuyahoga Valley National Park does not own the roads in the park. For current information or known closures in the area, call Boston Mill Visitor Center at 440-717-3890.

Parking lots at the following locations will not be plowed. They will close as needed if conditions become unsafe. Trails are not plowed. Please plan accordingly.
Cuyahoga River Water Trail ConditionsRiver-wide closure near river mile 17 due to bridge construction. Barrier cables with buoys extend across the river. Follow signs to portage upstream of the Fitzwater Road bridge. Exit on the west side of the river (river left), relaunch on the east side. Visit our paddling page for more information. A significant woody debris hazard exists near a set of metal pylons and timber groynes just upstream from the Lock 39/Rockside Road access. Do not attempt to paddle through during medium/low flow. As of April 2025, the restroom at Pine Lane Trailhead is closed until further notice. The nearest restroom is at Lock 29 Trailhead, about 1 mile away.
