Entrance Passes

There is no entry fee at Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Passes are not required for entry.

Visitors who have Senior and Access passes are eligible for a 50% discount on camping fees and boat launch permits.

 

America the Beautiful: National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass

The America the Beautiful: National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass program provides a number of discount options for the public to use at federal recreation sites where entrance or standard amenity fees are charged.

IMPORTANT: Interagency Passes are not available for download or printing. Receipts, photos, or copies of any pass are NOT valid for use.

Where to get Interagency Passes

Interagency Passes can be obtained at the Travertine Nature Center during business hours.

It is recommended to call the Travertine Nature Center at 580-622-7234 to check staff availability before arriving to purchase.

 

Annual Pass

Anyone 16 years or older may purchase the Annual Pass for $80. This pass is valid for 12 consecutive months. It expires one year after the last day of the purchase month. For example, if an Annual Pass was purchased on March 1, 2024, that pass would expire on March 31, 2025.

The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Army Corp of Engineers honor the Annual Pass at sites where entrance or day use fees are charged. Since Chickasaw National Recreation Area does not have an entrance fee or day use fee, discounts for Annual Pass holders do not apply.

Annual Passes are non-transferable.

Senior Passes

Senior Passes are available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are age 62 or older. There are two types of Senior Passes available, the Annual and the Lifetime.

Senior Lifetime Pass

• A one-time fee of $80.00
• Valid for a lifetime

Senior Annual Pass

• An annual renewal fee of $20. Pass expires the following year on the last day of the month it was purchased.
• Annual Senior Passes may be exchanged for a Lifetime Senior Pass. For example, if a visitor has two Annual Senior Passes and wants to upgrade to a Lifetime Senior, the cost of the Annual Passes will be deducted from the total cost of the Lifetime Pass.

What they cover:

• Both Senior Passes offer a 50% discount on camping and boating fees inside Chickasaw National Recreation Area. No additional discounts apply.

Senior Passes are available at the Travertine Nature Center. You will need to show proof of age, such as a driver's license or other valid identification card.

All passes are non-transferable.

Access Pass

The Access Pass is available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who have a permanent disability, regardless of percentage. You can find examples of accepted documents here. The pass is free and is good for the lifetime of the pass holder. It provides a 50% discount on camping and boating fees within Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Golden Access Passports, the older versions of the Access Passes, are still valid for a lifetime. If you wish to upgrade, Golden Access Passports can be exchanged for Access Passes at no cost.

Both versions of these passes are non-transferable.

 

Military and Veterans Passes

The Military Pass is available to active duty members of the armed services. The pass is free and is good for one year. It provides free entrance to most federal recreation areas. It does not offer any discounts on other fees. Current military ID is required.

The Veterans Pass is available to former members of the armed services who were discharged with veterans benefits. The pass is free and is good for life. It provides free entrance to most federal recreation areas. It does not offer any discounts on other fees. ID that indicates veterans status is required. Commonly used forms of identification include state drivers licenses, military IDs, and VA identification cards.
