Some of the park’s native wildlife, such as mice, rats, squirrels and fleas, can occasionally come into conflict with people and be considered pests. Visitors should be careful when hiking and camping in the area. Pests can carry diseases that can cause illness. One should avoid all contact with wild animals. Visitors should be aware that feeding the wildlife puts them at risk of contracting diseases which are transmitted through animal bites. |
