Volunteers come from all over the world to help preserve and protect America’s natural and cultural heritage. Volunteers of all ages give of their time and expertise to help achieve the National Park Service Mission.
The protection, preservation, and interpretation of Carlsbad Caverns National Park’s world-class resources would not be possible without the help of volunteers! Volunteer positions are coordinated locally through the park’s Volunteer Program Manager.
Current Opportunities:
Greetings Future Volunteers for Carlsbad Caverns National Park:
We are very excited to share the great news! Carlsbad Caverns National Park has an opening for a three-month volunteer opportunity at Rattlesnake Springs Picnic and Recreation Area.
The park is recruiting dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers who would enjoy sharing their valuable time and energy to volunteering at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. This opportunity will allow for two volunteers to reside at Rattlesnake Springs for three months. The selected volunteers will be responsible for the care and upkeep of the springs, surrounding area and historic home.
