Permits & Reservations

  1. CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS
    There are five campgrounds within the park. Four of them are on the reservation system. Make your reservations at www.recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777.
  2. PICNIC SHELTER RESERVATIONS
    There are two Picnic Shelters, where reservations are required and available on a first come, first served basis.
  3. BACKCOUNTRY PERMITS
    Backcountry Permits are required for anyone camping in the backcountry. If you have questions about backcountry permits, call 423-569-9778.
  4. HOG HUNTING PERMITS
    Wild hogs may be hunted at Big South Fork NRRA, in both Tennessee and Kentucky. A permit required to hunt hogs and may be purchased at Bandy Creek Visitor Center during the months of September through February each year.
  5. SPECIAL USE PERMITS
    Special Use Permits Permits may be issued for requests for special uses within the park. These uses include, but are not limited to such things as film permits, request for events, or special access requests.
  6. FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITS
    Filming/Photography Permits are issued for photography, filming, and associated sound recording to ensure protection of resources, to prevent significant disruption of normal visitor uses, or when they involve props, models, professional crews and casts or set dressings.
  7. SWIMMING POOL USE FEES
    The Bandy Creek Swimming Pool is open annually from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. There are daily user fees based on age. The pool may also be reserved for parties during non-public hours.
