In April 2023 Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail (NHT) staff hosted the first Trails Open House for the three national trails administered out of the NPS Midwest Regional Office. Lewis and Clark NHT staff collaborated with North Country National Scenic Trail (NST) and Ice Age NST staff to communicate projects; help regional leadership and staff understand the significance of each of the three trails; introduce the dedicated partners who strongly support these trails to regional leadership and staff; and provide opportunities for socializing, idea sharing, and collaboration. Trail staff and trail partners presented project highlights and provided interactive exhibits to facilitate information exchange and collaboration.
