GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (NPS) — The Andrew Johnson National Historic Site will host the annual Easter Egg Roll on Saturday, April 19, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Andrew Johnson Homestead.
“The Easter Egg Roll is a cherished tradition that has been celebrated by America’s first families for over 200 years, with the Johnsons being the first family to host the event on the White House lawn,” said Park Superintendent Aaron Shandor. “Join us for a day of fun and community spirit at the annual Easter Egg Roll!”
Located at 209 S. Main St, this festive event features crafts, prizes and an Easter egg hunt for children age 5 to 12 and their families.
Attendees will have the opportunity to decorate and take home their own wooden eggs, while supplies last. Children and families are encouraged to dress for outdoor play and bring their own baskets for collecting eggs.
Parking is available on Main Street, at the Greeneville Greene County History Museum, and in the Fox Park lot adjacent to the Andrew Johnson Homestead. The Andrew Johnson NHS Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is within walking distance of the Homestead.
The Andrew Johnson NHS will be hosting the Easter Egg Roll in partnership with the Greeneville Greene County History Museum.
