Where is the African Burial Ground National Monument located?
The African Burial Ground National Monument Visitor Center is located on the first floor of the Ted Weiss Federal Building located at 290 Broadway, in Lower Manhattan.

Does it cost anything to visit African Burial Ground National Monument?
No. Access to the visitor center and the outdoor memorial is free of charge.

Do I have to take a ranger-led tour?
No, groups and individuals alike have the ability to independently explore the site during open hours (Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4PM). Rangers are available to help you with questions and information.

Are there ranger-tours available?
One may request Ranger-led tours for groups of 10+. If interested in booking a ranger-led tour, please go to the site's Education page.

How far in advance may I make reservations for a ranger-led tour?
Groups are required to make reservations for tours at least two weeks in advance to ensure adequate preparation and staff availability.

Are there any dates when groups may not visit?
The visitor center (located inside 290 Broadway) is closed Independence Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
