Description: Learn about the science, mythology, and history of the constellations through a laser-guided constellation talk, all under one the darkest night skies in the United States!

Time: 7 pm. Allow 1 hour.

Location: South Rim - Grand Canyon Visitor Center

Astronomy Night

Description: Join rangers and astronomers behind Grand Canyon Visitor Center for an evening of telescope viewing and laser-guided constellation talks under one the darkest night skies in the United States!

Time: Anytime between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Constellation talk begins at 7 pm.

Location: South Rim - Grand Canyon Visitor Center (follow red rope lights)

 

Saturday, November 23rd

Location: South Rim - Grand Canyon Visitor Center (follow red rope lights)

 

Map shows the locations of the night sky evening programs in relation to Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim of the park. The evening program sites are tagged with a black flag: South Rim Visitor Center (right) and Shrine of the Ages Auditorium (center). Public parking lots are shown in yellow with the identifying letter or number of the lot in red that correspond to signs posted at the parking lots.

  Ranger programs are presented between May 15 and October 15, 2024. It's a 209 mile/336 km drive from the South Rim Village to the North Rim.
