Summer programming at Desert View

The following park programing will begin Memorial Day through Labor Day.

  • Cultural Demonstration Series invites you to come chat, watch, learn, and enjoy tribal members at work from the 11 Associated Tribes. Demonstrations range from beading, weaving, story telling, pottery, & more.
  • Sunset Talks by park rangers usually take place in the amphitheater near the watchtower. Enjoy a program with a beautiful sunset backdrop. The talks start an hour before Sunset, and end with enough time to take pictures and enjoy the view. Topics vary.

  • Grand Canyon Speaks is an interview styled program providing opportunities for members of the 11 traditionally associated tribes to talk with Park Rangers and share their lived experiences through storytelling, presentations, singing, and hands-on learning. Check out past in-person programming by listening to the Grand Canyon Speaks podcast.

  • Cultural Performances will be hosted monthly at Desert View Ampitheater. Performances include tribal members sharing their rich history through storytelling, dance, music, and other great performances.

See the event calendar below for more details including start time and dates for programming happening at Desert View during your visit.
