2024 | Yosemite Forum

Typically held the second Tuesday of every month. The Yosemite Forum is a free interactive lecture series designed to bring evolving knowledge of the Sierra Nevada to the public and the park. All programs are offered virtually, and some are also held in person in Yosemite Valley. View the schedule for 2024.

2024 | Parsons Lodge Summer Series: Saturdays and Sundays, July 27 – August 18

Join us at Parsons Memorial Lodge in Tuolumne Meadows this summer! Enjoy free talks and music by artists, poets, writers and scientists. View the event on the web calendar for a full schedule.

2024 | Yosemite Art Trail: August 26 – 30

Yosemite National Park has a long history of connection with many kinds of art. This event will feature stories of notable artists around the park. Join in activities to create your own art while in this inspiring and unique landscape. Check back later for more details about this event.

2024 | Obata Art Weekend: August 30 – September 1

Join us in celebrating the extraordinary life of Japanese American artist Chiura Obata, including his watercolor and woodblock prints of Yosemite and his writings on "Great Nature.” This weekend will include artist workshops, guest speakers, ranger talks, interactive art, and a special exhibit of Obata's Yosemite works. 2024 | Annual Yosemite Facelift: September 25 – 29

In partnership with the Yosemite Climbing Association, the National Park Service puts on this five-day event each September, in celebration of National Public Lands Day. In 2019, over 2,000 volunteers cleaned up 16,429 pounds of debris from the park. Learn more about the event on the Yosemite Climbing Association website.

2024 | Stars Over Yosemite

Glacier Point

During summer, amateur astronomy clubs host star parties at Glacier Point Amphitheater in cooperation with the National Park Service. The program is canceled if the sky is overcast.

July 12–13: Tri-Valley Stargazers and East Bay Astronomical Society
July 26–27: Mount Diablo Astronomical Society and Tulare Astronomical Association
August 2–3: San Francisco Amateur Astronomers and Santa Cruz Astronomy Club
August 9–10: MIRA Astronomy Club, The Local Group, and Peninsula Astronomical Society
