Yosemite Fire and Aviation has declared fire season in the park due to hotter and drier weather conditions. Fire season is officially enacted when our fire danger rating indices for the park are Moderate for three consecutive days.
There are no wildfires burning in the park at this time. Please follow all local fire rules and regulations when recreating and help prevent human caused wildfires by making sure your campfire is out cold when you leave, using the “drown, stir, and feel" method.
