Every Kid Outdoors

Although kids under 15 are always free in national parks, 4th graders get themselves AND three adults in to all federal sites during their 4th grade year. In order to get the pass, first visit the Every Kid Outdoors website and have your 4th grader complete the questionaire. Then print out the voucher and bring it to a national park and a ranger will exchange it for a physical pass. Passes are good through September-August of their 4th grade year.

Be a Junior Ranger!

The Junior Ranger program is available at National Park Service sites across the country. Tuzigoot National Monument's Junior Ranger program is a booklet of fun activities that focus on archeology, preservation, and ways of understanding our past and our present. The program is available at the Visitor Center to complete during your visit. All Junior Rangers get a complimentary badge upon completion of their booklet.

Become an Arizona Explorer!

Junior Rangers have the opportunity to explore the whole state of Arizona by completing the Arizona Explorer junior ranger book. The workbook has information and activities about each National Park Service site in Arizona. You can pick up the workbook at the Tuzigoot visitor center and complete the activities as you explore more Arizona national park sites.

Be a Scout Ranger!

There are programs available for both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts at NPS sites across the country, which are typically focused on resource stewardship and park management.
