Bird Walks with a RangerThursday, January - March, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Starting January 9 Southern Arizona is a hot spot for birding! This series of bird walks is designed for those who are new to the hobby and would like to learn to find and identify birds. Walking occurs on a variety of surfaces for two hours or as long as birds are active. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. The park has several pairs of binoculars available to loan. Moonlight HikeJanuary 25, February 22, March 22 No Pets Hike approximatily two miles, with a ranger, on the Anza Trail by the light of the moon. Meet at the Anza Trailhead across from the Tumacácori Post Office. January - March, Daily 11 a.m - 11:45 a.m. Tours begin at the visitor center and last approximately 45 minutes. Additional tours may be given during the winter season and at other times of the day and year when staffing permits. Call, email, or inquire at the visitor center information desk. Calabazas and Guevavi Missions TourJanuary - March, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Special tours are offered to two missions historically associated with Tumacácori, Los Santos Ángeles de Guevavi and San Cayetano de Calabazas. Their fragile ruins, protected by the National Park Service, are normally closed to the public and can be visited only as part of these special reserved tours.
