Plan A Group Visit

Group arrangements must be made at least two weeks in advance. Anyone interested in planning a group visit to Tuskegee Airmen NHS should contact Ranger Sheryl Buchanan at (334)421-3246. Please have the following information when scheduling your group:

  • The name of your group (if applicable) and a name and phone number for the individual who will be coordinating the visit
  • The number of people in your group who will be visiting
  • Any accessibility accomodations that may be needed for anyone in your group
  • The number of buses that will be bringing your group to the site (if applicable)
  • The amount of time that you are plannig to spend on the site
  • If you wish for your group to attend a special tour (list of programs below).

Self-Guided Visitation

Groups are welcome to explore the majority of the site at their own pace. Start your self-guided adventure touring historic Moton Field. You will be able to see five historic structures including the Control Tower, the Skyway Club and Hangar 1. Afterwards, make your way to the Orientation Room to access the museums and learn all about the Red Tails from Airmen interviews. Virtual tours are also available if your group is unable to physically visit, just let a ranger know when you make your reservation. The outdoor areas are open Monday- Saturday, 9 am - 4:30 pm

Special Events

The Tuskegee Airmen NHS offers special events throughout the year that may interest your group. All of our special events are listed on our events calendar. Please indicate in your initial planning inquiry if you are interested in attending a special event as part of your group visit.


Restrooms are located in Hangar 1 and Hangar 2. Restrooms are open Monday-Saturday, 9 am - 4:30 pm.

Parking

Free parking is available at Tuskegee Airmen NHS. There are two parking lots on site: the main lot (located at the top of the hill) and the lower lot (alongside Hangar 1). Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. All parking areas are ADA accessible.

Bus Parking

Buses may only park in designated spots in the upper parking lot. Buses may drop visitors off closer to the Hangars by unloading in the lower lot and parking in the main lot. There is no satelite parking for buses.

Accessibility

The National Park Service and Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site strive to make the park as universally accessible as possible. Tuskegee Airmen NHS has been adapted with many accommodations that allows for all visitors to enjoy the park.
