Fort George Island has a very long and fascinating history. This trail guide is for the 4.4 mile driving loop on the island, which is part of Fort George Island Cultural State Park. Originally published by the Florida Park Service, it was adapted and published online by the National Park Service in 2004. Many people drive, bike, and walk this loop. Please use caution when driving the island. The tour begins and ends at the Ribault Club. Fort George Island Timeline
