Picnic at the Three Maidens

Picnic tables are available for use near the Three Maidens, which are located to the left of the entrance road as you drive into the park. Please do not climb on the boulders.

The picnic tables may be used for free. The city's picnic shelter is first-come, first-served; large groups who would like to reserve it (or the nearby lodge) must pay a fee to do so and may call the city of Pipestone.

A sidewalk leads to the restrooms; the picnic tables are located on mowed grass.

The picnic area is located next to the Three Maidens along the entrance road to the Visitor Center. There are picnic tables, a restroom, and large glacial erratics known as the Three Maidens (please do not climb on the rocks; they are considered sacred to many people).

Bordering Pipestone National Monument to the south is the City's Hiawatha Pageant Park with a covered picnic shelter, a pond with catch-and-release fishing, and a lodge. To rent the covered picnic shelter or the lodge, call [phone] or visit the city website for more information.
