Peer into the past at the Fox Theatre

Tour Detroit’s Fox Theatre, one of five flagship venues built by William Fox during the late 1920s. With over 5,000 seats, the Detroit Fox became the city’s largest movie palace. Since its opening, the extravagant venue has hosted various performing artists including Shirley Temple, Elvis Presley, the Count Basie Orchestra, and Alice Cooper. From Christmas to New Year’s during the 1960s, Berry Gordy’s Motown Revue graced the stage. During this event, the Fox Theatre featured performances by Motown’s local talents including Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Supremes.
