Want to learn about Friendship Hill National Historic Site in a fun and different way?! Do you like puzzles, mazes and activity books?? Did you do the Junior Ranger books when you were younger, but feel like you're too old (or cool) for those booklets now?? Have we got a deal for you!
The Friendship Hill Senior Ranger Program is an advanced version of the Junior Ranger Program. Designed for teens and adults it includes a variety of fun activities and will help you learn about Albert Gallatin. Ask for the Senior Ranger Activity Book at the Visitor Center desk.
The activities are harder, not as easy to solve; and the answers may not be spelled out for you in the exhibits like they typically are in the Junior Ranger activities.
When you are done you will earn a Friendship Hill Junior or Senior Ranger badge.
- Watch the two special presentations Reflections of Gallatin shown in the theater.
- Complete the number of activities for your age group and any others you wisht to try.
- Level I -- Teenagers - ages 13 through 17: Complete 10 activities.
- Level II -- Adults - ages 18 and up: Complete 14 activities.
- Sign your Junior Ranger Pledge located on the back inside cover of this book.
- Present your Junior Ranger Booklet to a ranger or other staff person at the visitor center desk for checking.
Once you have completed all the requirements and your answers have been checked, you will be rewarded for your hard work with a badge or patch appointing you as an official Senior Ranger for Friendship Hill National Historic Site.
