Challenge 2: Discover Geologic Wonders
Learn about the billions of years of history that created Ozark National Scenic Riverways. You can glimpse into earth’s turbulent past at Rocky Falls, explore Devils Well– the largest underground lake in the state, or observe the free-flowing blue waters of Blue Spring, one of the deepest springs in Missouri. There is so much to discover within the park’s 134-miles of river and 80,000 acres of land.

The Headquarters Visitor Information Center has accessible parking, restrooms, and water fountains.

The park brochure is available in text and audio formats and is audio described on the park website and on the UniD App.

Discover Geological Wonders

Rocky Falls Trail is 0.4 miles long with some slopes less than 5%, a firm ground surface, and some benches. There is also an accessible restroom and accessible parking.

Big Spring access trail is level with a paved gravel surface. The Slough Trail at Big Spring is 1.2 miles long and level with a paved gravel surface.

There is a gravel access road to Devils Well. The Cave Spring Trail beginning at Devils Well is 4.6 miles of moderate to large grade changes and a natural surface.
