How to Become a Trail Junior Ranger
The Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail has it's own Junior Ranger Program!
1. Download the Junior Ranger Program
2. Complete the activities
Use the official map and guide brochure and/or Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail.
You can complete it virtually or after visiting a Mormon Pioneer Trail site.
3. Email us (at ntir_Junior_Ranger@nps.gov) a photo of your completed booklet.
Be sure to include your full name and address, in addition to the booklet.
We'll check your answers and send you an exclusive Junior Ranger badge!
Due to the current Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and changes in office hours, please expect a slight delay in receiving your Junior Ranger badge. Thank you for your understanding.

Junior Ranger activity can be completed virtually at home, or after visiting a site along the Mormon Pioneer Trail. Booklets can be submitted electronically or by mail.
Junior ranger booklet activites are completed using the Mormon Pioneer Trail National Historic Trail official brochure. This brochure is also available at various sites along the Mormon Pioneer Trail.
Any age is welcome to beome a Mormon Pioneer Trail junior ranger!

There is no fee for the junior ranger program.
