Or imagine Ida McKinley dressed formally in a ruffled dress with a high collar over a tight corset! It may be hard to imagine now, but giant hoop skirts, corsets, and bird feathers were all popular fashion trends at one time. During this program, we’ll look closely at these fashion trends and let them reveal the stories of the lives of women during this time
