Allow at least 2 weeks to prior to your requested field trip date(s).
Supply the park with a phone number and/or email that goes directly to you.
Your confirmation letter is proof that your field trip is scheduled. All other communication is tentative.
Need a free space to eat lunch? Our Corson Maritime Learning Center space or our garden may be available. Please ask so we may schedule the space for your class.
Visiting more than one site in downtown New Bedford? Make sure you have secured reservations with each site individually.
Special accommodations required for anyone in your group?Please inform us when making your reservation. The Visitor Center and theater are accessible.
Arriving late or suddenly need to cancel? Please call our main number at 508-996-4095 and speak to the front desk if at all possible; otherwise leave a voicemail at this number. We arrange for rangers or volunteers specifically to work with your group and are happy to relay changes as needed; your courtesy may save someone a commute! If you have scheduled with other sites in New Bedford, please contact them as well.We may adjust program time to accommodate late arrivals.
Restrooms are available at the Visitor Center.
The film, "The City that Lit the World" runs for 22 minutes, is closed-captioned and shown in English. The theater is equipped with an induction loop and assistive listening devices for the hearing impaired, Audio Description, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese translations.
