Geography plays an integral role in how we define a place and overall how it will be perceived. Largely because of its physical geography, Kennesaw Mountain has held a vital role in the local history of the area. This was especially true during the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain and the development of tactics and orders of troop movements. Students will learn about the importance of geography and maps, and have an opportunity to make their own.
