Are you looking for ways to incorporate the Civil War Era (Antebellum, Civil War, and Reconstruction) into your curriculum? Interested in finding more primary source collections, online resources, and other educational materials for classroom use? The interpretation staff at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site are here to help!
The park hosts at least one teacher workshop per year. Previous workshops have been variously geared towards K-12 teachers at all levels. A sampling of past workshops held at the park include:
- Teaching the Reconstruction Era
- Slavery in Missouri
- Key Military Battles in Missouri during the American Civil War Era
- Exploring Slavery in St. Louis through the Eyes of the Enslaved
- The Women's Rights Movement in the 19th Century
