Would you like to introduce themes of racial and social equality in your early elementary classroom? Two Friends, a book that tells the story of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass’ friendship, illustrates how a woman and a former enslaved person worked towards changing society. This program also ties in women and enslaved people’s roles in the formation and continuation of the Natchez Trace.
