What Does it Take to Restore a Prairie?

This distance learning opportunity describes the prairie restoration process. Ranger will walk students through what is a prairie ecosystem, why is it important, and what happened to it. Ranger will show what Knife River Indian Villages is doing to restore the native prairie on their property.

Objectives:
Students will be able to identify key components of a prairie ecosystem. 
Students will be able to explain what happened to the prairies and why it is important to bring them back.
Students will be able to describe the process of restoring the native prairies.

How to Participate:
Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site can use a variety of technology to connect with schools. Please contact our education specialist to schedule a test call at least one week prior to desired program time.
