Essential Question

What is the cultural and historical significance of Shackleford Banks' horses?  Are you aware of current day issues facing the management of the herd?  How are you able to protect these horses in the future?

Objective

Students will be able to distinguish between primary and secondary sources of information as well as how to use different sources of information from multiple perspectives to understand a particular event or issue.  They will understand how charts, graphs and historic narratives can be used to explain events or issues.
