Grade Level:
Middle School: Sixth Grade through Eighth Grade
Subject:
Science,Social Studies

Have you ever walked a trail so many times that it becomes compacted and maybe even begins to sink? When we find trails like that, what does that tell us about the history of the area?

In this 45-minute program, students will learn the role of geologic activity in drawing people to the Mississippi River Valley. Students will hear about physical characteristics of places and regions, and how they are connected to human identities and cultures.
