Essential Question

How does water flow through the swamp and how long does it take?

Objective

Students will be able to understand the basic functions of the Big Cypress Swamp as a watershed. Students will identify the various factors that can influence the flow of water in the swamp and how it affects the time it takes water to travel through the watershed.

Preparation

Print off video questionaire that accompanies the "Let the Water Flow!" interactive video. Set aside 15 minutes for watching the video and completing the worksheet.

Procedure

Students will be provided with an answer sheet to accompany the video. Students will watch the interactive video and during interactive question moments, they will provide their answers in the given space. Answers to the interactive questions will be revealed and elaborated during the video.
