"Hot Springs and the National Park Idea" is a virtual program that discusses the development of Hot Springs National Park and the ways in which it influenced the creation of the National Park Service. The presentation uses images and stories to aid the ranger’s presentation.

Program Length and Grade Range

This is a virtual program that typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes, including time for question and answer. This program was developed for Adult Education groups but has been successfully presented to college courses as well.

Program Logistics

There is no size limit on this program. Because the program is dependent on a successful internet connection, rangers will host a 10-minute meeting with the host teacher a week prior to the program to test the connection and answer any logistics questions.
