Activating Strategy
Teacher will share or show the video “Goat Care at Connemara Farms” with students. (Link on PowerPoint slide 2) What are the ways the rangers care for the goats?
Teaching Strategy
2. Share the example Five Senses Poem on slide 3. What do you notice about the poem?
3. Students can independently write their own Five Senses poem about their observations of the goat barn based on details from the video and story. Students can write on paper, or the PowerPoint. (If using the PowerPoint converted to a Google Slide, the students can type on the Slide and submit their writing.) Teacher may want to model this first using slides 4-8.
