Should you kill to end slavery? This program works with students to understand the range of options open to abolitionists, from pacifist William Lloyd Garrison to the violence of John Brown. Other historical figures include Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Delany. Students are prompted to debate the different tactics and apply them to present concerns.


Program lasts 30 minutes to an hour.
