Flip your classroom! Grand Teton National Park has a variety of science and history to intrigue your whole class, so let your students’ curiosity take the lead. Students research topics of their choice before this broadcast and compile questions for the ranger. At the beginning of the broadcast, the ranger will bring visual aids and do a general introduction to the park. The remainder of the program will be spent responding to the students' questions from their research. Students can use a variety of online information and videos to research topics prior to the broadcast with the ranger. This program can be adapted for all grade levels.
How to Participate
We connect with schools via Skype or Google Hangout. Spaces are limited and registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. You'll be asked to send the students' questions two days prior to the broadcast. Register with the education coordinator by email or phone 307-739-3449.
Great information for student research can be found on our park's multi-media, nature, history, and virtual tour webpages or with Grand Teton Association and Discover Grand Teton.
