Birds in Beringia

Beringia offers precious habitat for over 160 species of shorebirds, seabirds, and songbirds that migrate to the region in the spring. They travel long distances (some begin their journey as far as Antarctica) and they come from many different regions. Three major migratory flyways converge in Beringia, meaning that conservation efforts here have implications for bird species all around the world. Learn more in the videos below.
