Each plays a vital role to keep park operations running smoothly and safely. SuperintendentThe superintendent of Stones River National Battlefield is the top National Park Service official and is responsible for managing and supervising all park operations and activities. Administration DivisionThis is the "business office" for Stones River National Battlefield. Its principle functions include human resources, purchasing, property management, budget administration, contracting, payroll, technology support (computers, networks, park radios, telephone systems) and mail. ![]() Interpretation, Education, and Cultural Resources DivisionThis division provides information/education programs and services to park visitors and neighbors. The division manages interpretive exhibits and visitor center operations. Interpretive park rangers offer a variety of ranger-led programs to the public throughout the year. This division also maintains an extensive museum collection. ![]() Facility Management and Natural Resources DivisionThis division is responsible for the maintenance and preservation of the buildings, trails, and the grounds of Stones River National Battlefield. They work to preserve the cultural landscape by constructing historic fencing, removing invasive species, and maintaining the grounds of Stones River National Cemetery. |
