Public Transportation

Please be aware that the #5 IRT to Dyre Av., in the northern Bronx is often subject to changes in service on summer weekends.  It would usually be wise to check the MTA website for the latest information.

 

There is one subway line near St. Paul's Church, 897 South Columbus Avenue.

• Take the 5 (green) to the Dyre Ave Station in the Bronx. This is the last stop on the Lexington Ave. line.

From the Dyer Ave. Station

• Take a taxi to Saint Paul's Church.
• Take the Bee-Line W-55 bus (click here for timetable and route), which operates half-hourly from Dyre Ave station, to St. Paul's Church.
• Walk: Click here for Google Maps Walking Directions OR Proceed north to E. 233rd Street, and make a right, going east on E. 233rd. Walk several blocks to Provost, and make a left onto Provost, heading north. Provost becomes S. 3rd Ave. Continue north on S. 3rd Ave., until Stop sign on right, at Salvation Army. Make a right at Stop sign, onto S. Columbus Ave. St. Paul's will be on your right on S. Columbus. Walk from the subway to the site should be about 15 minutes, approximately 2/3 of a mile.
