A profile of the 6th New York Heavy Artillery, a Civil War regiment raised in the St. Paul's vicinity in 1862. Many veterans of the unit are buried at the site's historic cemetery. We offer an image and the full text of an exhibition, "A Consevative Union Parish: St. Paul's Church and the Civil War," that was previously on display at the site museum. The exhibit explores the military, political and social history of the church and community during those tumultous years.
