Ticket Information and How to Purchase
Access to the Theodore Roosevelt Home is by guided tour only and tickets must be purchased in advance online at recreation.gov or by calling call (877) 444-6777. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long with time spent indoors and outdoors.

Ticket Pricing
  • $15 for adults
  • $1 for Children
  • $7.50 for seniors 62 and older (Driver's License required).
  • STARTING JUNE 1: $7.50 for active-duty military and veterans (ID required).
  • Note: All tickets include a $1.00 non-refundable service charge. National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Passes are no longer available for sale or use at Sagamore Hill.
Who Qualifies for the Military Discount?
  • Current members of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force and National Guard.
  • Dependents of current U.S. military members.
  • U.S. military cadets.
  • U.S. active reservists (do not need to be deployed).
  • Gold Star Family members: Gold Star Families are next of kin of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces who lost his or her life in a "qualifying situation", such as a war, an international terrorist attack, or a military operation of the United States while serving with the U.S. Armed Forces, as identified in Department of Defense Instruction 1348.36.
  • Veterans: Veterans are individuals who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves.

To show proof of active-duty status, you will need to provide one of the following documents to prove your eligibility:
  • Unexpired Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Unexpired DD Form 1173
  • Unexpired Next Generation Dependent ID (Replacement of DD Form 1173)
  • Unexpired America the Beautiful Military Annual Pass (Passholder must be present)

To show proof of veteran status, you will need to provide one of the following, valid, un-expired forms of identification:
  • Department of Defense Identification Card (DD Form 2, DD Form 2765, or Next Generation USID replacement)
  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • Veteran ID Card (As of September 2022, the VA only provides a digital version.)
  • Veterans designation on a state-issued U.S. driver's license or identificaiton card
  • America the Beautiful Military Lifetime Pass (Passholder must be present)

Tour Schedule
Tours of the home are available on a Friday through Sunday schedule. The daily frequency of tours varies based on the season and staffing levels. All tour tickets must be purchased in advance on Recreation.gov. The Roosevelt Home is closed Monday-Thursday.

Meeting Your Tour Guide
Tour-goers should meet their guide at the front door of the Roosevelt Home at their scheduled tour time. Tours will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please have your email confirmation from Recreation.gov to show your tour guide. Visitors who arrive late will not be admitted to the Roosevelt Home.

Inclement Weather
Please dress according to the weather, as a portion of the tour will take place outdoors. Tours will take place rain or shine and in cold weather.

Tour Rules
  • Do not touch any objects inside the Roosevelt Home
  • Leaning over gated areas of the house may set off alarms and disrupt the tour
  • Food and drink are not allowed inside the Roosevelt Home
  • Strollers are not allowed inside the Roosevelt Home. Strollers can be stored outside the home for the duration of the tour.
  • Large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not allowed inside the home
