What is currently open at Sagamore Hill?

  • Access to the Theodore Roosevelt Home is by guided tour only. Read our guide to Touring the Roosevelt Home for more information and to purchase tickets.

  • Park grounds are open from sunrise-30 minutes after sunset.

  • The Old Orchard Museum & Visitor Center is opened Thursday - Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Do I have to wear a mask while visiting?

Masks are not currently required, but you may choose to wear one in park buildings or on the grounds. This is subject to change if the COVID-19 Community Level is elevated to HIGH.

When the COVID-19 Community Level is LOW or MEDIUM in the county or all the counties where the park is located based on data provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), individuals are not required to wear masks.

When the COVID-19 Community Level is HIGH in the county or all the counties where the park is located based on data provided by the CDC, all individuals over the age of two must wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, in all common areas and shared workspaces in buildings owned, leased, or otherwise controlled by the National Park Service, including, but not limited to, park visitor centers, administrative offices, lodges, gift shops and restaurants.

For the health and safety of others, please choose another time to visit a park if: 

  • You are experiencing COVID-like symptoms such as a dry cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and/or loss of taste or smell.

  • You had close contact with someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

  • You are self-isolating or self-quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19.

Whether seeking wide-open spaces or exploring a historic urban neighborhood, visitors should follow CDC guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and recreate responsibly.

  • If you feel sick, please visit another day

  • Practice social distancing – maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you and others

  • Masks are not currently required, but you may choose to wear one in park buildings or on the grounds. This is subject to change if the COVID-19 Community Level is elevated to HIGH. If you have symptoms, or positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 please considering wearing a mask.
