Management Documents

  • Superintendent's Compendium - A document that provides special designations, closures, public use limits, permit requirements imposed under the discretionary authority of Sagamore Hill's Superintendent.
  • General Management Plan - In 2008 the National Park Service (NPS) prepared a general management plan for Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. This master plan will lay out a vision for the future of the park and provide guidance for park management and development over the next 15 to 20 years.
  • Foundation Document - Created in 2018, the foundational document provides basic guidance for planning and management decisions—a foundation for planning and management. The core components of a foundation document include a brief description of the park as well as the park’s purpose, significance, fundamental resources and values, other important resources and values, and interpretive themes. The foundation document also includes special mandates and administrative commitments, an assessment of planning and data needs that identifies planning issues, planning products to be developed, and the associated studies and data required for park planning.
