Access Pass

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park does not charge admission. The America the Beautiful - Access Pass allows US citizens and permanent residents with permanent disabilites to enjoy public federal sites free of charge. Visitors looking to obtain a pass must either provide adequate documentation or sign an affidavit at the park in order to obtain the pass. If you are looking for the Senior Pass for 62+, the following nearby parks may sell the Senior Pass to you:

Cell Service

  • Cell service is generally available throughout park grounds since we are within an urban city, however, visitors may encounter some dead spots as they explore.
  • Free, public WiFi is available to visitors in the Visitor Center and on mission grounds at all four sites.
  • WiFi is available at the visitor information kiosks at Mission San José and Mission Concepción.

Hospitals/Medical

  • Nearest hospital: Mission Trail Baptist Hospital at 3333 Research Plaza, San Antonio TX 78235
  • If it is an emergency, call 911. If cell service is unavailable, find a Park Ranger.
  • Emergency phones are available at Mission Concepción and Mission San José.

Safety

  • Bees, wasps, carpenter ants, fire ants, snakes, and scorpions are present along trails and in the woods in the spring and summer months.
  • The summer season lasts from May through September with an average daily temperature of a low 75° and above 90°. The humidity ranges from 40-80% over the course of the year, so the heat may feel more intense than the actual temperature.
