Location: Moraine Park Discovery Center is located on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park in the Bear Lake Road corridor. It is located 2.7 miles from the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and within 2 miles of the junction of Bear Lake Road and Highway 36.

Description: The Discovery Center Amphitheater has over 30 benches arrayed in a semi-circle and stone steps leading down a center aisle. The “stage” is a dirt packed flat area surrounded by trees. The site has beautiful views overlooking Moraine Park. The trail from the parking lot to the amphitheater has 16 uneven stone steps and then continues uphill along an uneven partially paved trail.

Restrooms: Yes, only when the Discovery Center is open. Check building hours. Closest restroom during the winter is Beaver Meadows Visitor Center.

Special Site Restrictions: Dogs permitted on leash. Arches are permitted. Use of parking lot is permitted during the winter.

Mobility Impairment Accessibility: No. Main access is the stone steps which are uneven.
