On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the National Park Service at the request of the United States Secret Service is instituting a temporary restriction of access to certain parkland in Rock Creek Park associated with the activities of a Secret Service Protectee as delineated in the attached map. At the direction of the Secret Service the National Park Service will impose a temporary closure of vehicular access of the following locations from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024: Specifically, the East off-ramp from Rock Creek Parkway, NW leading to Pennsylvania Avenue in Rock Creek Park. A map illustrating the closed park areas is attached. The park area will be closed to the public to provide security and ensure public safety associated with Secret Service Protectee activities. The National Park Service appreciates the public's cooperation in this matter.
