Torpedoes at Drewry's Bluff

During the Civil War Drewry's Bluff was known as a "Perfect Gibraltar" along the James River protecting the city of Richmond. This short video tells the story of the defenses put in the river beneath the bluff to deter the Union fleet from its goal of reaching Richmond.
